1. Overview & Privacy Commitment

Memento Mori ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is built on a strict privacy-first foundation. We believe your birthdate, life horizon expectations, personal notes, and reflective quotes belong solely to you.

This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled within the Memento Mori mobile application for Android.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• No Server Storage: We do not host, store, or transmit your personal profile data, birthdate, names, private notes, or wallpapers to any external web servers or remote databases.

• No Telemetry or Tracking: We do not track your behavioral analytics, screen navigation history, or personal usage patterns.

• No Personal Data Selling: We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information under any circumstances.

3. On-Device Local Data Storage

• All data entered into Memento Mori remains strictly on your device:

• Encrypted Storage: Purchase activation states, monetization tokens, and security configurations are stored in hardware-backed encrypted storage (flutter_secure_storage utilizing Android Keystore).

• Preferences Storage: Your selected life horizon target age, preferred units (weeks/months/years), active quotes, theme preferences, and notes list are stored locally using Android SharedPreferences.

4. Advertising & In-App Purchases

• Free Tier Advertising: The free version of the App uses Google AdMob to display non-intrusive banner ads and app-open ads. Google AdMob may collect non-sensitive device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID) subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

• Memento Pro (Ad-Free): Users who upgrade to Memento Pro via in-app purchase receive a 100% ad-free experience, disabling all ad network initialization and tracking scripts.

• Billing Transactions: In-App Purchases and promo code redemptions are processed directly through the Google Play Store. We do not process, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, banking details, or billing addresses.

5. App Permissions Usage

• Storage Access: Permission to access photos/media is requested solely when you choose to set a custom background image from your gallery or export wallpaper graphics to your device storage.

6. User Control & Data Deletion

You retain complete ownership over your data. You can permanently erase all stored profile data, custom quotes, notes, and local settings at any time by navigating to Settings > Reset All Data within the application. Uninstalling the application will also erase all locally stored app data.
